Foxbar Falls is a vegetable farm in the Granite Belt, 20mins from Stanthorpe, that is also a delightful private campground. Campsites are beside a peaceful lake, with fire pits, amenities and hot showers. Enjoy kayaking, swimming, walking, socialising and relaxing for the weekend.
Booking/Registration:
A group booking has been made for these sites at Lakeside Trees and Edith's Edge campgrounds, where we camped last year:
(scroll down for map)
Lakeside Trees - Unpowered: LT2, LT3, LT4, LT5, LT6
Lakeside Trees - Powered: LS8 & LT1
Ediths Edge - Unpowered: E5, E8, E9, E10
Ediths Edge - Powered: E3 & E4
All these campsites are dog-friendly
You don't need to make your own booking, just register in Member Jungle, so sites can be apportioned and overflow sites booked as necessary.
Special Circumstances - If you're special let us know. For example, if you need a Powered site, or are in large caravan or motorhome, please advise Monica in the chat, and she will ensure the appropriate site is set aside for you. Camper trailers and tents can be accommodated in any site.
All other sites will be allocated on a first-come basis starting on Friday.
Payment - On Arrival. When you arrive, go straight to the office to make full payment for your stay including any dogs which may be extra.
Foxbar Falls have kindly offered the same discount as last year, a special group rate of $15 per person, per night, for Unpowered Sites, and $20 per person, per night, for Powered Sites. Payment is not site-specific, so you can pull up at the office then worry about where to camp.
Walks Itinerary - To be advised once we have a Walks Leader
The bird-watching walk was very popular last year, so hopefully it's offered again.
Water Sports - Bring your own kayaks, canoes, SUP, life jackets, and your swimmers!
Sometimes the campground has old kayaks you can borrow for free, but this can be hit and miss.
Directions - The street address is 375 Goldfields Road, Amiens (21 kms northwest of Stanthorpe)
You do not go into Stanthorpe. I like to turn off at The Big Apple at Thulimbah. There are a few different turn-offs you can take. The last few kilometres are well signed off Amiens Road.
Please note: your GPS and Google Maps may take you the wrong way as you get close – do not take the Harslett Road turn-off - follow the campground signs instead, and you can't go wrong. Remember, it is a vegetable farm as well as a campground, so when you see fields of carrots you have come to the right place!
Firewood - To be Confirmed. They have fire pits on each site and sell decent firewood for $15/box (approx 20kg). However, you may bring your own also.
Ice - is also available for purchase for $5/bag.
Water - There is adrinkable rainwater tank next to the office, but they recommend bringing drinking water if you’re particular about the taste.
