Mt Barney (Bunkhouse)

This event is to register your interest in sharing a rustic bunkhouse with other club members during the Mt Barney Environs Weekend, Fri 12th - Sun 14th June.

Don’t want to sleep in a tent? Non-campers are welcome to join us on the Mt Barney weekend, Friday 12th June to Sunday 14th June. As well as a large campground, Mt Barney Lodge offers several accommodation options.

Shared Bunkhouses – Foresters Hut & Henrys Hut

Foresters Hut contains 1 Double Bed and 4 Bunk Beds in 3 separate rooms. Although it's a hut, it will still be a rustic camping experience with a fireplace on the veranda, a small kitchen, no bathroom, use of the campground amenities, which include hot showers. You'll need to be self-sufficient and bring your own meals.

Henry's Hut contains 1 Double Bed and 2 Bunk Beds in 2 separate rooms. Although it's a hut, it will still be a rustic camping experience. There's a small kitchen, no bathroom, use of the campground amenities, which include hot showers. You'll need to be self-sufficient and bring your own meals.

This option for non-campers is ideal for those comfortable sharing a room with up to four others. Depending on registrants, we aim to have separate female and male dorm rooms.

• Min. Fri & Sat night stay – so carpooling from Toowoomba early on Friday afternoon to arrive in daylight

• Estimate is $520 for two nights, split between 4 guests (price will go up for less people, or down for more people)

• Linen available for extra $25 per person with advance notice.

• Deposit required to book

• Deposit refunds and transfers are only possible for cancellations more than 30 days out.

2 Mountain View Camper Trailers (Maroon CT & Barney CT)

The two Bunkhouse Huts are fully booked, but non-campers can still reserve one of the two camper trailers, which are fixed tents with beds and an amazing view. The trailers feature a queen bed with foam mattress and two single camp stretchers, along with amenities like a self-contained camp kitchen, crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, tea and coffee facilities, power, water, and an exclusive fire ring. Guests can bring their own linen or hire linen for $25, and they should bring their own esky or car fridge. Contact Monica D. if interested in sharing with others or booking independently.

There will be a range of walks on offer, you can also just come for the weekend and relax enjoying the bush setting, abundant wildlife, stunning views of the imposing Mt Barney plus the property has a beautiful creek perfect for sitting and reading a book, or taking a cool dip in the waterhole.
