BWQ Pilgrimage Binna Burra
Pilgrimage 2026 Information
Come along to a mini-Pilgrimage weekend event based at Binna Burra Lodge - for a “no frills” event, no bushdance - but no fees.
Date: Friday 7th to Sunday 9th August 2026 Come for the weekend or just for a day!
Bunkhouse accommodation: BWQ have booked the bunkhouse, with each of the 4 rooms sleeping 6 people. See separate 'Bunkhouse' event on Member Jungle to seek interest by anyone interested in utilising one of the 6 beds – in which case we can enter the ballot to be allocated one of the rooms. Please register if you’re interested – so we know whether to go into the ballot – albeit without any guarantees we'll be successful. If registering for the Bunkhouse option - please also register under this event to signal your attendance.
Alternative accommodation: Clubs can make their own accommodation bookings through Binna Burra Lodge. There are 4 other choices of accommodation, in addition to the New Lodge currently under construction.
Campsite
Safari Tent
Tiny House
Sky Lodge
Otherwise, there is camping available at Canungra, or you can attend just as a day walker (albeit with an early start and a long drive). Note: The New Lodge is expected to be completed by July but there is a wait-list for bookings. The private ‘Alcheringa’ with two holiday houses is also available for rental at Binna Burra.
See the Binna Burra Property Map for accommodation layout: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OeIyMtIZib2ulir9d1UaEfJbgw6aGc0X/view
Groom’s Cottage Bushwalkers Bar: The gathering spot will be the Groom’s Cottage with conviviality around the fire pit – clubs may wish to bring some nibbles to share. Snacks and drinks can also be purchased in Groom’s Cottage and the nearby Teahouse is available for meals. A self-catering cooking facility is located nearby.
Walks Program to be finalised by 2 Aug: BWQ will be inviting leaders from the club network to lead walks on the Lamington NP graded track system on both the Saturday and Sunday. Any suggestions for additional activities such as bike rides would be welcomed.. Clubs are requested to email the BWQ secretary if they can provide walk leader(s)
